The crown is already heavy
The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian is a narrative role-playing game from Schisma Games, published by 101XP and released for Windows on July 20, 2026. It is set in the same universe as The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante, but follows a new protagonist and a separate story. Jerian is born into House Tempest, chosen by the Twins, and prepared from childhood to rule an empire whose laws divide every person by birth.
The central question is not whether Jerian receives power, but what that power does to him. State finances, rival estates, religious division, noble privilege, demands for equality, family expectations, ambition, and personal attachment all compete for his attention. The official description makes the cost explicit: helping one group can lose another's support, and Jerian's errors can be paid for by the entire Empire.
